** these are just some of the many issues that can be helped **

What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring altered state of awareness where a
deep relaxation can be attained. Attention becomes more focused and
free of distractions. Every-day examples are when you are absorbed
in reading a book or watching a film and awareness of the outside
world temporarily fades.

What will it feel like?
Everyone is individual in their experiences, you will not feel like you are
in a trance, you will be aware of a pleasant feeling of relaxation which
allows the therapeutic suggestions to help resolve your issues. Most
people feel relaxed and refreshed after a session.

Will I lose control?
You will be fully aware of what is taking place. No-one can be hypnotised
against their will, and no-one can be forced to do things under hypnosis
that they do not want to do.

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required will depend on the issue to be addressed
and your own individual needs. This will be discussed before therapy
begins. Sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs.

I am a little nervous about hypnosis....
Please don't be, come for a free initial consultation [30 mins] where
your questions can be answered. No hypnosis will take place during this
session unless you wish to proceed to a first session.

How can hypnotherapy help me?
Almost everyone can benefit from hypnotherapy. It is a natural and
safe method of treatment which can be helpful with a wide range of
problems. Hypnotherapy can help if there is anything you wish to change,
either something you want to do, or something you would rather stop doing.

Methods used:
I use a variety of techniques and approaches to assist my clients to
achieve their goals. These can include suggestion therapy,
analytical therapy, Past Life Regression, Neuro Linguistic Programming [NLP], Emotional Freedon Techniques [EFT] and relaxation techniques.
These methods can be used on their own or combined to meet
individual needs.

Suggestion Therapy:
When someone is in the state of hypnosis, their subconcious mind is
more receptive to ideas and suggestions. This straightforward method
can be used for problems such as smoking, stress, and lack of
confidence. Suggestion therapy can be effective in 1-5 sessions
depending on individual needs.

Hypno-Analysis [or Analytical Hypnotherapy]:
This is where hypnosis is combined with analysis. Hypno-analysis seeks
to find the root cause of a problem. When the original reason or cause
is revealed, relief of the symptoms can be brought about with a more
lasting effect. Certain issues respond particularly well for example
general anxiety and emotional problems.

Neuro Linguistic Programming [NLP],
Helps you to make positive changes in your thoughts emotions
and behaviours. It enables you to break old patterns of thinking
and create a new awareness.

Emotional Freedom Techniques [EFT]
This a procedure that includes tapping on selected acupuncture points
with your fingers to help dissolve blocks, clear negative emotions,
attitudes and feelings allowing balance to return.

What to expect......
My caring, understanding approach will help put you at ease. You will be
aware of what is happening and in control at all times. You will be
carefully listened to in order to assess you problem and clarify your aims.
You will be sitting in a chair and I will talk to you to induce hypnosis and
help you with your problem. You will also be able to learn self-help
techniques if applicable.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
Each session is tailored to suit your own personal needs.
Four weekly sessions are initially advised to help put you in control.
Further sessions fortnightly or monthly may be required
depending on individual circumstances.
